Q. What is a credit union?
A. Credit unions are financial cooperatives owned by their members. Credit unions serve the needs of their members and not those of outside shareholders. All members have equal voting rights, regardless of the amount of their deposits.

Q. How is a credit union different from a bank?
A. Banks are for-profit institutions in business solely to earn a profit for their stockholders. Credit unions are financial cooperatives operated solely for the benefit of its members. Credit unions typically offer the same products and services that other financial institutions offer, with lower or no fees.
