Telephone Banking
CU by Phone, or Telephone banking allows you to access your account information by phone any time, from anywhere. When you register with TelPay you will need to provide a list of bills you wish to pay and account numbers for each. With your touch tone phone and your assigned personal access code, you can:
- Transfer funds between accounts
- Make account balance inquiries
- Determine if a cheque or deposit has cleared
- Stop payment on a cheque
- Pay bills - see Bill Payment below
- Inquire about hours of operation
- Leave messages for staff follow-up
CU by Phone includes a convenient computerized bill payment service that lets you pay your bills when you want to, anytime of the day, any day of the week, from wherever you are. NO specialized hook-up or fancy computer hardware is necessary. All you need is a touch-tone telephone, a credit union chequing or savings account, and a CU by Phone access code. Please contact us for more information. We’ll get you set up and assign a personal access code. Once you’ve entered your credit union account number and your personal access code you simply select the bill payment option, use the abbreviated bill account number, the account you wish to make your payment from and the amount you wish to pay. It’s that simple! Bill payments called in today are processed by the credit union the same day and forwarded no later than the next business day to the company which issued the bill. Payment Confirmation
Following each payment, CU by Phone will confirm in a clear voice the amount and bill you instructed to pay. You can then make changes or corrections if necessary. Pay as many or as few bills as you wish. Trace number is given for confirmation.
Itemized Statement
Your Credit Union member statement will itemize in detail all bill payments made during the month.
