Messages and Alerts


Direct Alerts monitor particular events that take place on your accounts through online banking. As a business owner, it's critical to know what is happening in your organization. If important changes are made to your account information, an alert is sent to you either as a text message, email or both. Signing up for Direct Alerts is recommended to guard you against fraud and to keep you on top of of the most important business of the day - your own.


Alert Types Expand/Collapse

New payee added a bill payment is added immediately
Personal Access Code (PAC) is changed PAC is changed immediately
Account Locked (Increased Authentication) access has been locked immediately
Online Login online login has occurred immediately
Interac e-Transfer recipient added recipient has been added immediately
Interac Online Paymnet authorized payment has been authorized immediately
Deposit Exceeding deposit exceeds a specified amount immediately
Withdrawal Exceeding withdrawal exceeds $100 or more as specified immediately
Low Balance available or current balance falls below a set amount immediately
Insufficient Funds available balance has insufficient funds immediately
Scheduled Transfer Failed a future dated or recurring transfer has failed immediately
Scheduled Payment Failed a future dated or recurring payment has failed immediately
My Balance selected accounts are set to receive either available or current balance at midnight
My Balance (Generic) selected accounts are set to receive both available and current balance at midnight
Loan/Mortgage Due due date is approaching at midnight for 5 days prior
Loan/Mortgage Maturing mature date is approaching at midnight for 5 days prior
Recurring Transaction Warning a future or recurring transfer or bill payment may fail at midnight
Term Deposit Maturing mature date is approaching at midnight for 7 days prior
RSP Maturing mature date is approaching at midnight for 7 days prior
RIF Maturing mature date is approaching at midnight for 7 days prior

How to receive Alerts

You can sign up for alerts through online banking. Click on Messages and Alerts; then select any of the following 3 categories and follow the prompts:

  • Manage Alerts
  • Manage Alerts Contacts and Mobile Nicknames
  • View Alerts History
