Access Changes
Access Credit Union has transitioned to something called “Relational Statements”. That means the information presented on your one monthly statement is inclusive and personalized to you, the member, and therefore, based on accounts in which you have an ownership role, including any joint accounts you may be a part of.
We encourage all members to read the following so you can better understand your banking statement.
Are you a legacy Noventis Credit Union member?

How You Will Receive Your Statement
Do Not Mail Option
Previously, members had the option of selecting “Do Not Mail”, which means you could pick up your statement from your local branch. While this option is still available for members, the “Do Not Mail” selection will be a global setting for your new relational statement.
What does this mean?
If you currently have at least one statement set to ‘do not mail’, the entirety of your new relational statement will fall under the ‘do not mail’ category. Your statement will be printed and available at your local branch. If you are signed-up for online banking, you may also choose “e-Statements only” where you only view your monthly statement in online banking. You can set up “e-Statement only”, by speaking to your local branch or calling the Member Solutions Centre.
e-Statement Option
If you currently have at least one statement set to view via ‘e-Statement Only’, the entirety of your new relational statement will only be available to view on online banking. No statements will be printed and mailed.
On November 20, all members under the age of 59 with personal accounts and access to online banking, will automatically be switched to receiving their statement via online banking only.
Print & Mail Option
If you currently have all of your statements set to receive a printed statement and do not have access to online banking, your statement will continue to be mailed to your home on a monthly basis.
When You Will Receive Your Statement
Currently, there are three different monthly statement cycles, as well as quarterly and annual cycles for Access Credit Union members. With our new statements, there will only be one monthly cycle, meaning every member will receive their statement at the same time; shortly after month-end.

Statement Benefits
There are a lot of important benefits to our new statements. Here are a few of them:
- Each member will receive one monthly statement with a summary of all accounts they have an ownership role on, reducing the number of statements required for each member.
- Relational statements are much easier to read and understand because they only contain accounts, investments, and products that you are an owner (or joint owner) of.
- Our new statements are all on a month-end cycle making it easier to reconcile monthly budgets and expenses for members.
- Savings accounts with interest cycles greater than monthly, including registered variable accounts, will now display the accrued interest.
- Registered accounts will now display the contract number attached to the account.
- A spousal indicator and contributor name will now display on registered spousal plan accounts.
