Access Credit Union awards $250,000 to schools in support of wellness and nutrition for students

October 15, Manitoba – Access Credit Union’s commitment to supporting their communities includes volunteerism, community events, financial support, and financial education. Earlier this year, Access launched their Focused Funding Grant announcing financial support of a total of $250,000. The grant was available to Manitoba K-12 public schools across the province and, this year, the eligibility centered on enhancing wellness and nutrition programs for students.

Access Credit Union is excited to announce this year’s winners of the Focused Funding Grant. Ten schools across Manitoba are being awarded $25,000 each for projects that will support nutrition programs for students. The proposals included improving kitchen facilities for storage, preparation, and serving needs to ensure students have access to nutritious meals.

Congratulations to the following schools:

  • Blumenort School (Blumenort)
  • Roseau Valley School (Dominion City)
  • Institut Collégial St. Paul's Collegiate (Elie)
  • Eriksdale School (Eriksdale)

The Focus Funding Grant will have a new focus each year to target a variety of community needs. This approach ensures that support remains dynamic and responsive to the evolving priorities of our communities. Each year the grant will have different eligibility, qualification criteria, and value. Applications for the 2026 Focused Funding Grant are expected to open early next year. Details on each grant can be found on the Focused Funding webpage.
