Community

Where you need us to be, in your community.

Access Credit Union is dedicated to demonstrating leadership and commitment within the communities we serve through ongoing charitable support, involvement within our community, and by providing and facilitating educational programming. Through our long-term commitment to corporate social responsibility we look for ways to broaden our focus on community, environment, and volunteerism.

We fulfill this commitment through:

Community Investment
We provide sponsorships and donations to non-profit organizations in our communities.

Financial Literacy
We partner with like-minded organizations and share our business expertise and premises with the communities we serve.

Community Involvement
We encourage our employees to volunteer their time and expertise to charitable/non profit organizations.

Community Investment

We are committed to strengthening our communities by supporting organizations, charities, and events that share the values of our members, employees, and communities.

As a member-owned organization, we care deeply about giving back to the communities in which we live and serve.

Each community has unique needs, so we carefully select donation and sponsorship opportunities that promote health, well-being, and support life-long learning.

Helping Communities Thrive

Scholarships are awarded based on exceptional academic standing, consistent community involvement, and noteworthy participation in extracurricular activities. The 2021 Scholarship Program is now closed for applications.

Financial Literacy

We partner with Each One Teach One to give our employees, members, and the wider community the knowledge and tools they need to achieve financial success.

We are proud to offer 17 different financial literacy workshops to help increase financial knowledge and prepare for life's biggest events.

Our highly trained staff can administer 60 - 90 minute workshops to your school, business, or organization.

All workshops are offered in easy-to-understand language, without any ties to products and services, and with the sole goal of empowering individuals to make the right financial decisions.

Tour 150: Qaumajuq Inuit art and cultural display

We’re proud to be one of the participating credit unions in Tour 150, presented by Manitoba’s Credit Unions.

Tour 150 will travel across the province to communities this summer (and for years to come!) in celebration of Qaumajuq, the new Inuit art centre at the Winnipeg Art Gallery, with vehicle support from Birchwood.

The custom retrofitted tour vehicle, named Nakatamaakewin [na-kah-tah-MAA-kaywin], a Michif name gifted by Language Keeper and Elder Verna Demontigny meaning “to leave something behind,” will bring a culturally-rich and diverse display of art to communities across the province.

We’re proud to host this event at seven of our Southern Manitoba branches:
  • July 15 - Vita Branch from 11 AM to 3 PM
  • July 20 - Carman Branch from 12 PM to 4 PM
  • July 21 - Miami Branch from 9:30 AM to 4 PM
  • July 22 - Morris Branch 9 AM to 3 PM
  • August 16 - Dominion City Branch from 9 AM to 3 PM
  • August 19 - Winkler Branch from10 AM to 4 PM
  • August 20 - Sprague Branch from 11 AM to 3 PM
