Debit card management and CRA direct deposit now available in online banking!

Debit Card Management—previously referred to as Lock n Block in the previous digital banking platform—has been launched in the current Access Credit Union digital banking platform on Tuesday, August 12.

What is Debit Card Management?
Available within both desktop online banking and the mobile app, DCM offers members the ability to:
  • Use a toggle feature to temporarily “lock” a debit card, particularly if you are concerned it’s been lost or compromised.

  • Restrict certain transactions on a debit card including

    • ATM withdrawals (both inside and outside of Canada);

    • Point-of-sale purchases/transactions (performed both inside and outside of Canada);

    • Mobile wallet transactions of all types;

    • All tap transactions;

    • Transactions based on province;

    • Transactions based on merchant categories; and

  • Set "per transaction limits" on ATM withdrawals and point-of-sale purchases within and outside Canada (please note that limits can only be set within the threshold of current standard limits).

What else is new?
Access is also pleased to offer members CRA Direct Deposit set-up right from online banking.

Members can switch from waiting for cheques from CRA to receiving their payments directly to their Access Credit Union account with just a few enrolment steps.
  1. Navigate to Accounts > CRA Direct Deposit

  2. If you haven't already enrolled, click ENROLL NOW.

  3. Follow prompts and complete form fields.


It's that simple! Please note that the enrolment is not instant and is subject to Government of Canada action. This could take up to 14 business days to complete by CRA.
