Interactive Teller Machines (iTMs) are changing to ATMs

iTMs and ATMs are important self-service channels used to extend cash and deposit services to our members. While iTMs and ATMs have many similar features, iTMs offer additional personalized interaction with members through live video between Member Service Centre (MSC) staff and members. If MSC staff are unavailable or the MSC is closed, the iTMs revert to ATM functionality only.

As of November 13, the video live service feature of iTMs will be decommissioned. The iTMs will continue to operate with ATM functions: cash withdrawals, deposits, repin debit cards, and balance inquiries.

Why are we removing the iTM functionality?

The original intention of iTMs was to offer additional services across extended hours however the actual number of unique iTM transactions where the live service feature is used is quite low, challenging cost-effectiveness.

Who is affected?

iTMs are located at nine branches: of which some have both iTMs and ATMs. The interactive live service functionality will be removed from each location as of November 13, 2023.

  • Selkirk (1012 Manitoba Ave) – ATM and iTM

  • Starbuck - iTM
  • Riverton - iTM
