How to install Google Authenticator

In this clip, we're going to go through installing on Android for Google. Installing the Authenticator app on a mobile device is fairly straightforward. Open the Google Play Store app, often indicated by the play triangle as its icon.

Once it opens, you're going to go to the apps section. While you're there, search the Google Play Store app for the Google Authenticator. Simply type it into the search bar.

Once it pops up, simply tap on Install. Once it's installed, tap on Open. There may be a screen asking you to log in with your Google account or to use Authenticator without an account.

You can choose either option. You don't need a Google account to use a Google Authenticator, but using it with a Google account enables you to synchronize your settings across multiple devices. So if you have one, you may want to simply tap Accept.

Now that it's all installed and it's ready for use, you'll see the icon on your homepage on your mobile device. Congratulations, you have now completed the install of the Google Authenticator.
