2026 Focused Funding Grant to focus on recreation and wellness

The 2026 Focused Funding Grant will focus on projects that invest in wellness and recreation, as it’s essential for fostering healthier and more engaged students. Improvements to these areas can help us to strengthen relationships with our schools and ensure that both students and communities have safe, supportive environments to connect, grow and thrive together.

The grant will provide a total of $250,000 in financial support to K-12 public schools throughout Manitoba. The grant will be awarded to 10 schools, with each receiving $25,000 to enhance recreation and wellness programming. 

Key details:
  • Eligibility: Open to all K-12 public schools in Manitoba.
  • Who can apply: Parent advisory committees, school administration, teachers, and school divisions.
  • Application period: Applications open on February 16, 2026, and close on March 31, 2026.
  • Focus: The grant is intended to enhance programs, activities, and spaces that contribute to student well-being.
  • Support: Projects must be pre-approved by the respective school division and include a letter of support from the school principal or vice principal.

The Focused Funding Grant will have a new focus from year to year, allowing us to target specific areas. By rotating the focus annually, Access Credit Union can address a variety of community needs. This approach ensures that our support remains dynamic and responsive to the evolving priorities of our communities.
