Access Credit Union and Winnipeg Blue Bombers team up to help students tackle finances

Score a touchdown for your classroom with an Access Credit Union Financial Literacy workshop, featuring a Winnipeg Blue Bombers player

May 15, 2025, Manitoba – Schools across Manitoba will once again have the opportunity to win an Access Credit Union Financial Literacy workshop, featuring a player from the Winnipeg Blue Bombers!

The “Tackle Your Finances like a Pro” workshop is delivered by a team of Access Credit Union Financial Literacy trainers and a Winnipeg Blue Bombers player. The 60-minute workshop is a fun and interactive experience, and teaches students practical money management skills and tips. Exciting giveaways and prizes will also be up for grabs.

“These workshops were introduced last year to great success. We found students were very engaged, asked thoughtful questions, and showed genuine interest in learning how to take control of their financial future,” said Emily Suderman, Financial Literacy Specialist at Access Credit Union. “We were thrilled to have Winnipeg Blue Bomber player Nic Demski join us at each workshop. We are looking forward to bringing these workshops to schools again for the 2025/2026 school year!”

“We are excited with all the interest from the local schools for the Financial Literacy Program and look forward building on last year’s success. We are thrilled to be in partnership with Access Credit Union on this important community initiative,” said Winnipeg Football Club President and CEO, Wade Miller.

Schools that are interested are asked to apply by visiting accesscu.ca/bombers. Applications are to be received by June
30, 2025.
